Recently I’ve been in Copenhagen. Copenhagen is probably the coolest bike city on the wohle world. Due to time constraints, I unfortunately did not manage to ride a bike in this beautiful city.
My thesis is, however, that it’s able to bicycle there so well because there is simply an appropriate culture. Of course, geographical conditions also play a role, being here such a great bike culture. In my hometown Tübingen also many people go by bike but the geographical conditions and the road conditions are both rather poor. It will probably take years that in my hometown there are so blatantly good cycling conditions as in Copenhagen – and sometimes, I guess that our city administration steps also a little bit backwards. We hat to “copenhagenize” my hometown Tübingen!
